
Dance Artist Alliance CLT is a collective of dance artists, choreographers, teaching artists and allied professionals that have joined together across dance genres to increase cultural equity and access for diverse artists and communities, build dance audiences and promote quality, sustainability and unity within the sector.

Caroline Calouche is the Director of Caroline Calouche & Co. and, Director of the Charlotte Cirque & Dance Center. She has trained and worked internationally, has two BFA degrees in Ballet and Modern Dance from Texas Christian University, and certifications in Pilates, Gyrokinesis, Aerial Silks, and Trapeze from Nimble Arts.

Accounting and dance are a unique combination for an artist. Originally from Charleston, SC, Reba’s passion for the Arts started as a child. With a Masters in Arts Administration, Reba believes in using the knowledge and skills she’s acquired formally and informally to strengthen other Artists and Art & Culture organizations.

MEMBERSHIP
Camerin Watson is a local dancer and choreographer in Charlotte, NC. She has BFA in dance performance and choreography from UNCG and received her Adaptive Dance Teacher Certification from Boston Ballet in 2018. Watson is the Artistic Director for BOOM, Charlotte’s annual contemporary arts festival and the Director of Open Door Studio’s Adaptive Dance Program for dancers with and without disabilities.

Mufuka is the founder/director of MufukaWorks Dance Co. and Dance Educator of McClintock Middle. Her resume also includes Charlotte Ballet and Boom Festival Clt.
Receiptient of the 2019 NC Teacher of the Year award, Mufuka's education includes Masters of Arts Administration from Winthrop University and a BA in Dance and Communications from Coker University

Gabrielle is an assistant professor of dance and coordinator for dance education at Winthrop University. She is a 2020 MFA dance graduate from the University of North Carolina Greensboro. As a previous high school dance director and curriculum curator, she received a Masters in Education at Columbia College, SC.

STUDIO SUBSIDY
Elizabeth Roach-Paulus is a dance teacher and dancer in the Charlotte area. She holds a BFA in Dance from the University of North Carolina School of the Arts. While continuing to excel in both modern dance and ballet, she holds certifications from the ABT teacher training curriculum, Limon teacher workshop, Progressing Ballet Technique (PBT), and yoga. Since 2012, Elizabeth has been performing with various regional dance companies emphasizing both classical and contemporary works.

Brenné Forst is a choreographer, dancer, and educator born and raised in Charlotte, NC, and has been dancing since the age of 5. She has a Bachelor of Science in Applied Sociology from East Carolina University and a Bachelor of Arts in Dance from Winthrop University. In 2019, Forst was invited to perform in the Merce Cunningham Centennial at Winthrop University. She is currently a high school dance teacher, dance team coach, and a company dancer in MufukaWorks.

Phillip McRorie is a dance teacher and choreographer working in and around the Charlotte area. He holds a degree in Dance Studies from AppState and is completing his MFA in Choreography with Jacksonville University. Phillip has worked, performed, and choreographed with various companies around NC, including Verge Dance Collective, the Asheville Ballet, Terpsicorps Theatre of Dance, and Caroline Calouche and Co. Since moving to Charlotte in 2019, Phillip has focused most of his energy on teaching and working on independent projects within the community.
